Terms of Service
Draft for legal review · Effective date: to be confirmed. Eretz Israel Direct (“the Service”) is operated by the legal entity identified here once formed (“the Operator”). These terms reduce risk but do not replace advice from qualified counsel in Israel and in the jurisdiction where the Operator is established. By using the Service you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
Directory service only
The Service provides information and introductions. The Operator is not a broker, agent, landlord, property manager, tenant screening service, travel agent, tour operator, employer, employment agency, ministry, church, ministry endorser, healthcare provider, financial adviser, insurer, escrow agent, or payment processor, and is not a party to any transaction, tenancy, booking, engagement, donation, or agreement between users. The Operator charges no commission and holds no funds.
No endorsement, no professional advice
Inclusion in the directory, any badge, any trust score, any rating, and any AI-generated suggestion are informational only. They are not an endorsement, a certification of faith, character, doctrine, licensure, insurance, tax status, immigration status, or business standing, and they are not legal, financial, tax, medical, immigration, real-estate, or other professional advice. Trust scores are generated automatically from limited signals and may be wrong or out of date.
Independent verification and assumption of risk
You are solely responsible for verifying the identity, legal capacity, ownership, licensing, insurance, credentials, safety, pricing, availability, and contractual terms of any person, property, or business you find here, and for obtaining your own written agreements. Meeting strangers, renting property, travelling, and transacting carry risk, including risk of fraud. You accept that risk and agree never to send money, deposits, or documents before you have independently satisfied yourself. The Operator does not provide emergency, security, or travel-assistance services.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts may be suspended or closed at any time.
Your responsibilities and content
You must provide truthful information, hold the rights and consents needed to publish anything you submit (including other people’s names, contact details, and images), comply with applicable law, including Israeli privacy, consumer, tenancy, tourism, and licensing law, and keep your listing current. You grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt for formatting, and distribute your submitted content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You are responsible for your content and for your dealings with other users.
Prohibited use
Do not misrepresent identity, ownership, or affiliation; publish another person’s details without authority; post unlawful, discriminatory, harassing, or fraudulent content; solicit payments off-platform under false pretences; manipulate reviews, badges, or trust scores; scrape, resell, or bulk-extract listings or contact information; send unsolicited commercial messages to listed contacts; or attempt to bypass moderation or security controls.
Moderation and removal
The Operator may review, reject, edit for clarity, unpublish, archive, suspend, or delete any content or account, with or without notice, to protect the community or comply with law, and is under no obligation to publish or retain any listing. Verification reflects only the information available on the stated review date and is not a guarantee of anything before or after it. Any person may request correction or removal of information about them by writing to info@eretzisraeldirect.com.
Third parties and links
Listings link to third-party sites, messaging services, and businesses that the Operator does not control and is not responsible for. Any dealings with them, including donations, deposits, and contracts, are solely between you and them.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, currency, title, non-infringement, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, security, legality, quality, habitability, or any outcome of any introduction or transaction.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator and its founders, volunteers, moderators, and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, property damage, rental or travel losses, or losses caused by fraud, misrepresentation, or the conduct of any user or listed party. The Operator’s total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid the Operator for the Service, which is normally zero. The final monetary cap, exclusions, and any jurisdiction-specific carve-outs will be set with counsel once the Operator and governing law are established.
Release and indemnity
You release the Operator from claims arising out of disputes between you and any other user or listed party. You agree to indemnify and hold the Operator harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your content, your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your dealings with another user.
Force majeure
The Operator is not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including war, hostilities, security closures, natural events, strikes, utility or network failure, and acts of government.
Governing law, disputes, and time limit
Governing law, venue, dispute-resolution procedure, and the period within which claims must be brought will be specified here once the Operator is formed; until then the parties will attempt good-faith resolution by writing to info@eretzisraeldirect.com before any formal proceeding.
Language of these terms
These terms are published in several languages for convenience. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version prevails.
Changes and severability
These terms may be updated; material changes will be noted with a new effective date, and continued use constitutes acceptance. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Directory Disclaimer, form the whole agreement.
